Seniors: Our penultimate SFL game takes place at home to Ballybay this Saturday at 5pm. This is our last home senior game of the season, so all support would be appreciated.
Reserves: The Crawley Cup team’s semi-final bid in the RFL Division Four ended with a defeat away to Aghabog in wet and windy conditions last Sunday. We started well, playing with the wind, and we led by four points at one stage, with John McCoy hitting three points and Bernie Murphy and Adam Cullen also on target. Another point by John had us ahead by 0-7 to 0-5 at half-time, but Aghabog picked off a succession of points with a strong wind at their backs in the second half. Our defence worked hard under constant pressure and with the help of goalkeeper Jimmy Croarkin, we kept a clean sheet, but it wasn’t enough to prevent a 0-15 to 0-7 loss. Thanks to the players and manager Pat Murphy for their efforts this year, which saw us fall narrowly short of a top-four place.
Team and scorers: Jimmy Croarkin; Fionntán Cassidy (Capt.), Lorcan McAdam, Mickey Buckley; Séamus Brannigan, Johnny Sherry, Brian Driver; Niall McKenna, Colin McAree; Finnian McKenna, Gary Murray, Adam Cullen (0-1); Colm Shalvey, John McCoy (0-4), Bernie Murphy (0-2).
Subs: Paul Sherry for McKenna, Niall Brannigan for Driver.
U-16: Our Under-16s play Scotstown in the Football Championship Division One Final on Saturday in Smithborough at 2pm. Best of luck to Brian Lenehan, Mickey Buckley, Seán Morahan, Frank Cassidy and the panel. Please support the lads.
U-14: The Under-14 Division One team lost at home to Scotstown by 4-9 to 2-7 in difficult conditions on Monday evening in a play-off for a semi-final place. 1-1 by Remy McKenna and a point by John Mulligan had our lads level at 1-2 apiece at the end of the first quarter, but despite scores from Reece Treanor and Aiden Burns, Scotstown made better use of the wind advantage in the second quarter to take charge. The Harps were on top in the third quarter, but could only manage points from John Mulligan and David Lowry, so there was still a six-point gap (3-6 to 1-6) going into the final quarter. Scotstown’s fourth goal put the game beyond reach, although our lads kept going and were rewarded by a goal from Shane McMahon and a point by Cathal Power. The Division One team have a second chance this Saturday, when they play Carrickmacross in Clontibret at 12 noon. The Division Five team are away to Emyvale on Saturday week. Good luck to both teams.

Subs: David Lowry (0-1) for Owens, Aiden Burns (0-1f) for A Treanor, Conor Duffy for R Treanor, Dylan McKenna for McManus.
