At the Irish News All Star Awards night in the Armagh City Hotel, Therese Mc Nally received the Ladies Gaelic football award. Therese has been in outstanding form all year, winning the Player of The Match award in the Ulster Final and playing a key role in Monaghan’s successes to date. On behalf of the ladies county board I would like to congratulate Therese on a well deserved award
DONAGMOYNE WIN 9 IN A ROW SENIOR TITLES
Donaghmoyne won their 9th county senior title in a row when they defeated Emyvale. The game was won in the opening quarter of the game when Donaghmoyne scored 3 goals in the space of 10 minutes. With only 20 minutes gone, they led 3-5 to 0-0. This was a nightmare start for the Emyvale girls and it left them with a mountain to climb. Their job was made even more difficult when they had 2 players sin binned in the opening 10 minutes of the second half. Emyvale to their credit tried to find a way back, but every time they pushed forward, they were met with a wall of red jerseys. Donaghmoyne now go forward into Ulster where they will be hoping to win back the Ulster title. On their performance on Sunday, they will be hot favourites to win Ulster and go on to push for another All Ireland title.
Final score Donaghmoyne 4-11 Emyvale 0-7
SCOTSTOWN WIN U12 DIVISION 1 TITLE
In wet and blustery conditions, Scotstown won the Division 1 title when they beat Emyvale. Scotstown went into this game unbeaten and they continued that run on Sunday last. Both teams started rathernervously in the opening quarter, but once Scotstown opened the scoring they held on to their lead throughout. Both teams must be congratulated however, as they served up some great football. In the end Scotstown were deserving winners.

Finally on behalf of the county board we would encourage all clubs to get out and decorate their areas with flags and buntings. To reach an
All Ireland final is a great honour for any team. This team deserve all the support they can get. People have been giving out about the
lack of media interest in Ladies football and rightly so but we need to start at home. Decorate our villages towns etc and as the girls are
heading to Croke Park on Sunday 25th, let them see the support that is there for them.
