Underage Coaching
Over 40 children attended the final coaching session of the year last Saturday morning in glorious sunshine. Afterwards the children were treated to refreshments in the Centre. Thanks to all the coaches who helped out during the year and to the parents who took them to training all season.
Under 8s Blitz
There will be an under 8 blitz in Drumhowan on Sat Oct 8th. More details will be available next week.
Coaching Workshop
Juvenile coaches and mentors are reminded of an important seminar that takes place in Our Lady’s Secondary School, Castleblayney on Tuesday 11th October. The title of the seminar is “Gaelic Start Information Evening – (Theory & Practical). The target group is coaches/mentors for children between the years of 6 and 10 years. The seminar commences at 7.30pm and the club would encourage all its juvenile coaches to attend. The club is always looking for more coaches for our juveniles and any body interested are also encouraged to attend.
Intermediate League
We are away to Donaghmoyne on Saturday 8th October at 5.00pm
Fashion Show
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to keep up to date with the latest fashion in men’s and women’s clothes by making sure you are present at the monster fashion show on Friday night next Saturday 30th September. Rumour has it that some of our footballers will be modelling and hopefully they will be more successful than they were on the playing fields this year. The show commences at 8.00pm.
Bon Voyage
Bon voyage to Mark O’Neill who has recently emigrated to Australia. Mark was a regular member of our A team this year he will be greatly missed. We wish him every success and happiness down under and look forward to seeing him back in the Drumhowan colours in the not too distant future.
Get well soon
Our best wishes for a speedy recovery are extended to Brendan Duffy, a former player with the club, who is currently in Beaumont Hospital. Get well soon Brendan and we look forward to having you back in the community when you have fully recovered.
Club Meeting
There will be a meeting of the committee this Thursday 29th at 8.30pm.
