Under 16s was the pride of the parish last Saturday when they pulled out a stunning performance to defeat hot favourites Cremartin in the Championship Final on a scoreline of 3-5 to 1-7. Everyone of these lads played their part in this victory and put in a huge effort all year and finally got what they deserved. Ciaran Conlon had a fine game in goal pulling off a fantastic save closing in on half time. Colin Fox and Paul Mc Caghey were rock solid in the full back line with Shane Lambe, Paul Connolly and Alan Markey going through enormous work in the half back line. James Deery and Pauric Mc Connell were brilliant in midfield and Brian Mc Geough, Gavin Corrigan and Thomas Meegan a constant thorn in the Cremartin back line. Micheal Bannigan and Niall Duffy were superb with Niall constantly back helping out in defence. The Subs, Gavin Clerkin, Shane Mc Guirk, Kevin Sheridan, Stephen Geoghegan, Jamie Marron and Caolain Connelly all played their part. Congratulations lads and well done to all involved.
