Monaghan are through to the TG4 All-Ireland Ladies SFC semi-finals after goals by Therese McNally and Caoimhe Mohan led them to a 2-13 to 0-8 win over Meath on Saturday.
Latton continued their impressive form by qualifying for the semi-finals of the Gormley uPVC Senior Football Championship, beating holders Clontibret by 0-10 to 0-8 on Saturday despite finishing with 14 men. They were joined in the semi-finals by Scotstown, who beat Ballybay on Sunday. Magheracloone cruised past Inniskeen in the back door on Sunday, while Castleblayney had a straightforward win against Truagh. Blayney and Ballybay will clash in the next round, while Clontibret and Magheracloone go head-to-head in a repeat of last year’s final.
Carrickmacross are through to the semi-finals of the McGuigan Builders Intermediate Football Championship after they beat Aughnamullen by 1-14 to 1-5. Tyholland overcame Currin at the second attempt on Saturday, winning their replay by 1-15 to 0-13 with the help of a goal by Declan Connolly, booking their place in a quarter-final against Aughnamullen. Rockcorry had a facile win over Éire Óg on Sunday, setting up a meeting with Donaghmoyne.
Cremartin are through to the final of the Universal Graphics Junior Football Championship after a brace of fortuitous goals by Darren Bishop gave them a 3-3 to 0-9 win over Aghabog in their replayed semi-final on Friday. Cremartin will play Clones in the decider next Sunday.
Corduff secured second place in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League on Friday, when they beat Donaghmoyne for the second time inside a week.
Scotstown produced a strong second-half performance to beat Aughnamullen in the McQuillan Staircases Under-21 Football League Division One Final on Monday.
Toome are now top of the Gerry’s Takeaway Junior Football League, thanks to their win over Killanny on Wednesday, while Clones built on their championship semi-final success by beating Oram on Wednesday and Killanny on Sunday. Emyvale bounced back from their championship exit to beat Oram on Sunday.
Castleblayney are still unbeaten in the Silver Hill Foods Senior Hurling League after a straightforward victory over Carrickmacross on Thursday. Cootehill edged a high-scoring game against Truagh in the Silver Hill Minor Hurling League on Sunday.
Truagh had a narrow win over neighbours Emyvale in the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football League Division Four on Monday, while Corduff got the better of Doohamlet in Division Two on Wednesday.
Castleblayney are still top of the GRM Minor Football League Division One after they beat Monaghan Harps on Tuesday. Second-placed Clontibret eased to victory at home to Carrickmacross, while Scotstown are now in a three-way tie for third place thanks to their win over neighbours Truagh.
Killanny and Latton won away to Magheracloone and Rock Sarsfields respectively in Division Two, while Seán McDermotts edged out Na Fianna in Threemilehouse.
Donaghmoyne had a comfortable win away to Clones in their rescheduled Platinum Tanks Minor Football Championship Division Three quarter-final on Tuesday.
