U16 Championship

Our u16s have their championship semi final on Thursday, 8th September against the winners of Seans and Donaghmoyne.

U14 League

Our Division 6 side had a good win against the Harps last Saturday. Well done boys on a great display. On Monday evening the Division 2 team also produced a gritty performance to overcome Toome. The defence was tight, midfield gave a good supply of  ball to the forwards who finished well. Well done to both teams. Our next games are on Saturday, 10th September with the Division 2 team away to Corduff at 12pm, while the Division 5 team are away to Currin, also at 12pm.

U12 League

Hard luck to the Division 2 team who lost out to Seans in the shield semi-final last week. Well done to all our u12s for their effort and commitment throughout the year and to the management team for their dedication to the boys. It is much appreciated and will bear fruit for the club in the future.

U10s

Well done to our u10s who took part in the Go-Games at O’Neill Park last Saturday.

Take left at the fork and continue on to Fintully, turn left at the Curragh Lane past Sean Mone’s museum, back out past McCully’s and down to the Creamery cross and back to the O’Neill Park.

Truagh Recreational Tournament
Well done to the over 35 team who qualified for the semi final of the Truagh Tournament which will be played next Sunday evening against our old rivals Scotstown. We defeated Keady on a score line of 3-5 to 0-4 and then fought out a very entertaining draw with Tyrone outfit Eglish, having been 5 points down at half time. This result was inspired by the endless running of midfield duo Brian McSkane and Brian Morgan, and the evergreen Willie Moen. Our defence was outstanding throughout, led by Cathal Carragher who kept the Eglish forwards out when they pushed for the wining score late on. Niall Malone and Mick Duffy kept the Eglish defence under pressure throughout the game. Final score was Clontibret 2-6 Eglish 1-9. We have now qualified for the cup semi final which will take place on Sunday. We are leaving the club at 5.30pm. The team on duty was: Gene Gorman, Liam Ward, Cathal Carragher, Gerry Todd, David Ward, Shane Magennis, Sean Michael McSkeane, Brian Morgan, Brian McSkane, Declan Moen, Kevin McSkeane, Mick Duffy, Ronan McKenna, Declan McNamee, Wayne Leonard (Capt), Niall Malone, Cian Curley.
