Clontibret 0-8, Latton 0-10. We lost out by 2 points against Latton in a low scoring affair. Team and scorers: Paul McElroy, Colin Duffy, Colum Greenan, Martin Corey, Donal Carragher, Darach Mooney, Conor Boyle, John Paul Mone, Eoin Greenan, David Savage, Conor McManus 0-5 (0-4 frees, 1 ’45), Dessie Mone, Vinnie Corey 0-1, Paul McGuigan 0-1, Fergal Mone. Subs Used: Rodney Gorman, Eoin McGuigan 0-1, Daithi McKeown, Ryan McGuigan. We now play Magheracloone in the back door match on the weekend of 3rd/4th September.
Senior League
We play Ballybay in the senior league on Saturday in Ballybay at 5pm.
Reserve League Division 1
League match against Scotstown due to be played on Friday evening will now be played this evening, Thursday at 7.15pm in Clontibret.
Minor Championship
Clontibret 3-08 Scotstown 2-09
A gritty performance by the minors on Monday evening at Gavan Duffy Park to reach another County Final. We recovered from a bad start to go two up at half time only to lose the lead with five minutes to go. It was then the boys showed their real character with four unanswered points to claim a famous two point win. Well done to Damien Brendan and Sean and their team and good luck in the final
Minor League
Clontibret 3-12, Carrick 0-11. This result now ensures a place in the semi final.
We play Truagh in the last league game on Monday in Truagh
U16 League
Clontibret 0-5, Donaghmoyne 2-8. A disappointing result to end our league involvement which started so well. Now it’s down to the championship where the boys will get another chance at silverware. We are due to play the winners of Seans and Donaghmoyne which will take place in September.
U12 League
Division 6 Shield Semi-Final: Clontibret 6-6, Clones 6-8. The boys were unlucky to lost out by 2 points against Clones last week.
We played Seans in the Division 2 Shield semi final on Tuesday last, result next week.
U14 League
Both our u14 teams are in action this Saturday with the Division 2 team taking on Toome and Division 6 team playing the Harps at 12pm and 1.15pm in Clontibret.
U8 & U10
Well done to the u8s who played brilliantly in the Go-Games in Truagh last weekend. Good luck to the u10s who will play in the Go-Games this Saturday in Clontibret at 10am.
6k Fun Run / Walk & BBQ
Keep free on Sunday, 4th September for the 6k Fun Run / Walk & BBQ starting and finishing at O’Neill Park. It starts at 2pm with registration from 1pm. Proceeds are in aid of The Cormac Trust (Sudden Adult Death Syndrome). Come along and join in what promises to be a great day of activity followed by a BBQ and go up to the club afterwards to watch the All Ireland Hurling Final.
