Fixtures:

Wednesday 3rd August U-14 Scotstown V Sean’s @7:30pm
Intermediate League:
Last Wednesday we travelled to Carrickmacross to take on Intermediate favourites on their home patch. We matched them well for the first 20 minutes until the locals put their foot on the gas and verified their favourites tag. Our next match is a real four pointer against our old foes Eire Og on their new playing surface for which they must be commended. This game will have a massive bearing on our progress, and as we all know it is not a happy hunting ground. This game takes place on Sunday 8th August.
Cultural Night:
Remember to keep the 2nd Friday free! Next session takes place on Friday 12th August. We look forward to seeing you all there!
Duck Race:
Our duck race takes place on Bank Holiday Monday @3pm. All players from 10 to adult level have received sponsor cards, so please support this worthy cause in aid of our juveniles.
Poster/Art Competition:
This year as part of the 50th Celebrations the club is running a poster competition for all juveniles in the parish. The poster can be any size you like. You can select your own theme for your poster, e.g. success on the football field, club at the heart of the community, sports festival weekend, and duck race, etc, etc. The closing date for the poster competition will be Saturday evening 30th July, i.e. after the Treasure Hunt. The winner will be selected during the sports on the Sunday. Make sure you put your name on the back of the poster along with your Date of Birth. So get your pencils sharpened.
Sports Festival Weekend:
The annual festival has returned to it’s traditional date, of the August Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 29th – Monday 1st August. As part of the 50th Anniversary of the club, proceeds from the weekend will be donated to local groups, namely The Drumkill Daycare Centre, St Michael’s NS, St Mary’s NS and Juvenile Development within the club. All encouraged to support the different activities and make the “Sports” a weekend to remember, especially in our Jubilee Year
