Seniors – The seniors must come though the back door if they are to win this year’s championship after a disappointing 2-11 to 1-11 reverse to Scotstown on Sunday evening. Goals at vital times for Scotstown were the difference between the teams and with Blayney shooting too many wides over the hour they left themselves too much to do.

Junior B –The Bs played their O’Duffy Cup final against Truagh last night (Wednesday) result and report next week.
Minor – The minors gave us a scare last Tuesday night before advancing to the championship semi-final with a 3-10 to 1-08 victory over Monaghan Harps. Blayney were poor in the first half and were endebted to full back Darren Malone and free-taker David McMahon, who accounted for all Blayneys first half scores, for keeping the half time deficit to only three points. Blayney emerged a different team in the second half and overwhelmed Monaghan in the opening 15 minutes with Cailean O’Sullivan hitting the net three times to seal an eight point victory. The draw for the semi-finals on has paired Blayney against Truagh in a game to be played in late August.
