Seniors: It’s a busy week for our seniors. Last night, we were due to play Latton. We then play at home to Magheracloone this Sunday at 4pm. We follow this with an outing against Castleblayney next Wednesday, 15th June, at 8pm. Note that the venue for the Casteblayney match is in Toome. All our games are covered through our twitter account, so follow us @ truaghgaels to get regular updates.
Reserve Div. 1 (B’s): We defeated Scotstown in the championship last Wednesday night, 3-13 to 0-9. The quarter final of this competition will take place on Wednesday 22nd June. Before that, we will resume league action when we take on Monaghan Harps in St. Mellans on Sunday 19th June at 7.30pm.
Reserve Div. 3 (C’s): We defeated Clones after extra time, 0-18 to 0-17, in the championship last Friday night lost to advance to the quarter finals. These will take place on the weekend of 17th June.
Reserve Div. 4 (D’s): Our next outing is in July.
Minors: Our next game is Tuesday 28th June at home to St. Patricks.
Monthly Committee Meeting: will be held tonight, Thursday, in St. Mellans at 9pm.
Recreation Tournament: We have been invited to participate in the Ned Boylan memorial cup competition in Scotstown. The first round begins on the weekend of 9th July. All grey and balding players are encouraged to dust off the boots and buy a can of WD-40 in preparation.
Club Shop: The club shop will is now open each Tuesday between 6.30pm-7.30pm and every Thursday and Friday evening between 7-8pm.
Lotto Jackpot now €3,600: There was no winner of last week’s jackpot. The lucky numbers were 1, 7, 11, 18. There were 8 match 3 winners, each receiving €25: Mick McCarron-Mullinacask, Niall McKenna-Scotstown, Reggie Myers-Emyvale (Yearly Ticket), Kate & Dermot Kelly (YT), John Loughran (YT), John Sherry (YT), Mickey Treanor (YT), Niamh+Aisling Myers (YT). Juvenile Committee Meeting: will be held next Monday, 13th June, at 9pm.
U-6s: Coaching continues this Saturday at 10am for 4, 5 & 6 year old boys and girls in St. Mellans. Indoor area will be used in the eventuality of rain. All welcome.
U-8s: play Emyvale this Thursday, 9th June, in St Mellans at 7pm. We will be travelling to our second co go games blitz this Saturday 11th June in Monaghan Harps. This starts at 10am, with bus leaving St. Mellans at 9am.
U-10s: play Emyvale this Thursday 9th June in St Mellans at 7pm.
U-12s: The 2nd league begins this Saturday, 11th June. Mentors will have fixtures this week.
U-14s: play away to Magheracloone this Thursday, 9th June, at 7pm. Bus leaves St. Mellans at 5.30pm.
Cul Camps: The Monaghan VHI GAA Cul Camps is being held in St. Mellans between 4th to 8th July. Application forms will be distributed at training this week. All camps cater for 5 to 13 year olds boys & girls. Cost €55 for 1st child, €50 2nd child, €45 3rd child. Please register online at www.gaa.ie. Camogie:
Seniors: Training continues tomorrow at 7.30pm and on Monday at 7.30pm. Attendance at training needs to improve so we would ask everyone to please make the effort to attend. Our first championship game is less than 3 weeks away.
Juveniles: Juvenile training on Saturday at 11am. New players are very welcome. Brid, Claire and Nicola are on duty this week.
Lucky Square: Congratulations to Kevin Tierney who was last weeks winner of the lucky square. All numbers for the lucky square have now been taken. Thank you to all who support.
Clothes Collection: Thank to everyone who donated to the clothes collection last Saturday, your support is greatly appreciated.
Hoodies: Could everyone who ordered hoodies please pay your €20 to Eilish or Joanne as soon as possible.
Ladies Football:
U-16’s: Training continues as per management.
Senior Training: continues as per management/texts. We ask all girls to make a huge effort to attend.
Handball:
Club Finals: A few niggling injuries are holding up the 3 remaining club finals, but we hope to have these ran off in the very near future. We intend to run all 3 of on the same night.
County Presentation: The county presentation is being held in Scotstown Complex this Friday, 10th of June. All County Winners and runner-up must attend, as they will not receive their medals otherwise. A lot of effort has been put into these structures so please respect all and turn up.
Summer play: Any seniors or juveniles wanting to keep practising can do so as natural light will provide plenty of free lighting for the next few months. It is a great way of getting some free enjoyment and valuable exercise.

Seniors: Our seniors had another good win last Thursday evening when they defeated Monaghan Harps in Monaghan. Their next challenge is Blayney in the reserve league tonight in St. Mellans. TI is 8pm. Training continues Tues evening at 8pm.
