Under 14s: Hosted Clontibret in a top of the table clash last Tuesday evening. Keen to avenge the recent championship defeat, Toome began the game well, leading 6 points to 2 at the end of the first quarter. It was a close encounter thereafter, and both sides had to settle for a draw at the final whistle. John Gorman impressed in goals, with accurate kick outs and some fine saves. The defence all played well, Hugo and Bartek in the full back line worked hard to ensure we kept a clean sheet, while the tough tackling of Mark McMahon, Frank Connolly and Stephen Blessing kept their opponents at bay. Daniel Friskey and Ciaran McCooey covered at lot of ground in midfield, getting to grips with their opponents and setting up attacks. The forward line did well to kick 14 points on a day when space was hard to come by, Ryan Murphy and John McGinn made their presence felt, Keane and James used their pace and skill to good effect, while young Kevin McCooey continues to impress. Mark Byrne and Killian Ruddy both tried hard when introduced, and Luke Murtagh, Ryan McMahon and Joseph Harte all played well in the recent game v Blayney Faughs. We play Corduff next Tuesday (14th) in Toome at 7pm.

Well done: To Frank Connolly who played in the exhibition match at half time in Omagh.

JFC: All roads lead to Inniskeen this Sat 11th @ 6.15 for the first round of the championship Toome against Killanny. All support needed.
