Ulster Press night
With the Ulster Camogie Finals due to be held in the newly refurbished Athletic grounds on Saturday June 25th. representatives from the teams involved got together at the Armagh Planetarium and then on to the G.A.A. grounds for a photo shoot on Monday evening last. Monaghan who will meet Tyrone in the Junior decider were represented by the Captain Siobhan Mc. Kenna together with fellow County players, Joanne Mc. Skeane and Shauna Finnegan. Five underage players from the Castleblayney Club also doned their Monaghan Colours for the cameras.
The newly reopened venue will host a busy day of action as the Senior, Intermediate and Junior titles are up for grabs.
Last year’s Premier All-Ireland Junior Champions Antrim will take on Derry in the Senior final.
Hosts Armagh will be hoping for silverware when they face league champions Cavan in the Intermediate final.
The battle for the Ulster Junior title will be between Monaghan and Tyrone. Monaghan will have an uphill battle on their hands going by the last Tyrone encounter, on that date Monaghan were without quite a number of the regulars.
Monday’s Press event was an opportunity to take photographs and conduct interviews ahead of the games.
Players and management from all counties involved were in attendance along with Ulster Camogie Council Officials.
