COISTE CHONTAE MHUINEACHAIN is seeking to recruit a coach who can deliver school, development squad, summer camp, community development work, disability coaching and some club mentoring support. The post is based on funding for it being retained and will commence immediately. The successful candidate will be contracted to work at locations throughout the County at the Games Development Manager’s discretion and direction. The candidate must also be prepared to do evening and weekend work. Attendance at GAA and generic coaching courses and conferences in their own time is a requirement.
SOME KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST ARE:
A recognised 3rd level qualification is preferable.
GAA Level 1 Coaching Award is essential, but preferably a Level 2 GAA Coaching Award.
Proven experience of working with children in a GAA environment
Experience of Summer Camp Coaching desirable.
Coaching Qualification or practical experience in Hurling is desirable but not essential.

The selection process will involve the following process:
Short listing of applicants
Interview
For those successful in the interview a Computer Literacy Test which will include Word, Excel, Power point and Database in the content.
Final selection will be based on a Practical Coaching session.
Skills:
Good communicator, Good interpersonal skills, Ability to work as part of a team and take direction. Ability to work with children, youths and those with disabilities.
This position will be for 37 hours per week. The salary will be discussed at interview.
