DRUMHOWAN CLUB NOTES 30.5.11
Platinum Tanks RFL
Drumhowan 4-7 Carrickmacross 2-13
After a shaky start and poor first half performance, our reserves produced an excellent second half revival to secure a well earned draw against Carrickmacross on Sunday last. As the score line suggests, this was a highly entertaining game of football and, following on from the recent victory against Inniskeen, would suggest that the tide has turned and this team can look forward to a more rewarding end of season.
O’Duffy Cup
Our reserves are back in action on Wednesday evening (1st June) against Corduff in McKeown Park. With morale high after recent good results, management is confident that the team can turn in another good performance and surprise its more fancied opponents. Throw in is at 8.00pm.
U-12s County Finals
Our U-12s participated in this well organised and highly enjoyable event at Cloghan on Saturday last. Congratulations and thanks to Cathal Hand and his hard working committee who organised and ran the event. The U-12s league competition is due to commence shortly and the club wishes all our children and their mentors every success in the campaign ahead.
U-10s coaching
Coaching for all boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 10 years takes place on Monday evenings from 6.30 to 7.40. All boys and girls in this age category are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please note that next Monday’s session (bank holiday) takes place as usual.
Thanks
The club wishes to extend its thanks to our FAS workers who ended their two years term recently. Jonas and Dalman were exceptional workers and they will be missed. We wish them well and every success in the future.
Monaghan v Tyrone
We wish the Monaghan Senior team every success against Tyrone on Sunday next. Anybody who ordered tickets should contact Noel Duffy from Thursday on. Remember, all tickets must be paid for on collection
