Drumhowan Club Notes 24.5.11
Monaghan Electric IFL
Drumhowan 1-11 Tyholland 0-14
We travelled to Tyholland on Sunday evening last and came away with a share of the spoils after a highly entertaining encounter. The long list of injuries continues to play havoc with the squad with Enda Duffy and Colm Lambe now joining longterm absentees James McElroy, Darren Duffy, Christopher McGinnity and others. Hopefully at least some of the walking wounded will be back for the championship clash against Aughnamullan on the 11th of June Next.
Platinum Tanks RFL
After a good win in their most recent outing against Inniskeen, our reserves take on Carrickmacross on Sunday next in McKeown Park in a more buoyant mood than heretofore. Throw in is at 12.30pm. The reserves are also out on the following Wednesday against Corduff in the O’Duffy Cup. Throw in is at 8.00pm.
U- 10s Go Games
The club hosted a very successful U 10s Go Games event in McKeown Park on Saturday last involving ourselves and teams from Ballybay, Doohamlet and Cremartin. Despite the atrocious weather conditions there was a good turn out children and adults from the participating clubs. Our thanks to all those who helped run the event including senior players, referees and team managers. A special word of thanks to John McArdle, Matthew Lambe and Padraig Duffy for their contribution in making the event such a success.
