Monaghan slipped deeper into relegation trouble in the Allianz National Football League Division One when they lost at home to Kerry on Sunday. Meanwhile, the minor footballers lost at home to Armagh in the Ulster MFL  and the minor hurlers were beaten by Tyrone in the Ulster MHL Division Two.

Castleblayney maintained their 100% record in Division 4A of the Ulster Club Senior Hurling League, thanks to a 3-9 to 1-8 win away to Glencar-Manorhamilton from Leitrim, while Carrickmacross had a comprehensive win over Monaghan rivals Truagh in Division 5A.

It was a busy weekend in the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Leagues. In Division One, Cremartin had a surprise win over Scotstown, while Clontibret and Castleblayney saw off Monaghan Harps and Truagh respectively and Magheracloone shared the spoils. In Division Two, there were wins for Tyholland, Corduff, Carrickmacross and Doohamlet at the expense of Ballybay, Inniskeen, Drumhowan and Donaghmoyne respectively. In Division Three, Emyvale, Clontibret and Killeevan had wins over Aughnamullen, Clones and Truagh, while there was a draw between Seán McDermotts and Rockcorry. The Division Four games saw Castleblayney, Toome and Éire Óg take the points from Killanny, Fergal O’Hanlons and Monaghan Harps.
