Clontibret
Fun Day
There will be a Fun Day held at O’Neill Park this Sunday to raise much needed funds for the juveniles. This is expected to be a great day out with lots of activities for all ages, including
face-painting, races for all age groups, Gaelic skills competitions an u8 & u10 football match and a Recreational Football match. The day gets underway at 3pm
with the u8 & u10 match at 4pm followed by the Recreational match at 5pm. There will also be a barbeque throughout the day. Come out and show your support for
what promises to be a great day.
Flag Day
The club are organising a Flag Day in Monaghan town this weekend in aid of the Juvenile Fund. This will take place over Friday evening from 4pm to 8pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Parents
are needed to volunteer to help out, with volunteers requested to do a two-hour slot. Please contact Caroline on 0878368900 to put your name down to help out. With the Feile Oriel festival taking place it is hoped that this will be a very successful venture so as many parents as possible are requested to give just two hours of their time to benefit the youngsters of the club.
Senior League
Clontibret 0-12, Monaghan Harps 0-17. A disappointing result in a game where the performance of the team in the majority of the game deserved better than a 5 point defeat. A young team played
some magnificent football for the opening 45 minutes of the match and were ahead for most of this time, but went out of it in the last quarter for the Harps to take a 5 point victory. Team and scorers: Arthur
Morgan, Colin Duffy, Eoin Greenan, Martin Corey (0-1), Donal Carragher (0-1), Pauric Boyle, David Savage, Colum Greenan, John Paul Mone, Fergal O’Dowd, Rodney Gorman (0-1), Ronan Murphy, Fergal Mone, Johnny McKenna (0-5), Ryan McGuigan (0-4). Subs Used: Daithi McKeown, Kieran Greenan.
Clontibret 0-10, Magheracloone 2-7. The concession of a goal in the opening half left us chasing the opposition for most of the game, however we dominated proceedings in the second half and were
unlucky to lose out in the end. Team and scorers: Arthur Morgan, Kevin Ward, Eoin Greenan, Martin Corey, Colin Duffy, Colum Greenan, Donal Carragher (0-1), John Paul Mone (0-2), Daithi McKeown, Pauric Boyle, Rodney Gorman, Ronan Murphy, Fergal Mone (0-3), Johnny McKenna (0-4), David Savage. Subs Used: Kieran Greenan, Padraig McGuigan.
We take on Truagh at home tomorrow evening, Friday at 7.30pm.
Next Friday evening we play Doohamlet at home at 7.30pm. Please note change of day for this game. On Sunday week, 8th May we’re away to Scotstown.

Reserve League Division 3
Clontibret 0-8, Seans 0-8. Seans raced into an early lead and the team did well to finish the game with a draw. Team and scorers: Lorcan Murphy, Christopher Tedore, Kevin Ward, Shane McNally, Fergal
McGuigan (0-1), Aiden Leonard, Shane Murphy, Kieran Greenan, Fergal Greenan, Paul Winters (0-2), Thomas Greenan, Darren Murphy, Niall Duffy (0-5), Kevin Gormley, Damien Moen. Subs Used: Philip Rooney, Gregory Leonard.

U16 League
Clontibret 2-13, Donaghmoyne 0-13. A great result for the boys in a game which Donaghmoyne dominated for long spells. Our next game is on Thursday, 5th May when we take on Magheracloone at home at 7.15pm.
