A Chairde,

Please find attached Monaghan Go Games Programme for 2011 which was discussed last night at Club Coaching Officer meeting. On Wed 6th April @ 7:30pm in Cloghan Club Go Games Co-ordinator(s) (this can be U8/U10 managers or Club coaching Officer) are asked to attend a meeting to finalise and outline the role of club co-ordinator for the Go Games programme for the forthcoming year. Its important that all clubs are represented on this night (ONLY HALF WAS THERE LAST NIGHT).

Also attached is Monaghan Go Games Application Form and Referee details Form, Can I asked that clubs complete these forms and get it back to me ASAP. This will allow me to have everthing organised for the meeting on 6th April.

Any questions on the above please get in touch.

MONAGHAN GO GAMES FOOTBALL PROGRAMME 2011

U8’s – For U8’s the clubs will be divided into 5 geographical groups of approximate similar size & player numbers at their disposal. See group structure below. Some clubs will be expected to host a Go Games blitz. For example in group 1, Margheracloone will host a blitz in week 1, Donaghmoyne week 2 and so on. The host club must organise goals (you can use poles) & pitches for each blitz.

In addition to this The Coaching & Games Development Committee will organise two ALL COUNTY blitzes, 1 in Cloghan the other in Clones. This will provide variety for clubs as teams will be mixed up and it will also reduce some of the pressure on clubs of having to organise the blitzes.

Monaghan Coaching and Games staff will be taking full responsibility for planning and organising these blitzes.

Each club most identify a club co-ordinator who will help organise Go Games blitzes in their own club & liase with the county co-ordinator.

Referees Details

To enable both the Under 8 and Under 10 blitzes to run smoothly, we need each club to nominate 5 referees who will be available to referee at these blitzes. These referees must be over 14 years of age. Each club will only need 2 referees for each blitz (host club may need more). A training day will be held for these referees prior to the first blitz.
