Presentation Night:
Our presentation night for the Junior Football League winning team, took place last Saturday night in front of a large crowd. It proved to be an enjoyable night with presentations made to several of our club members. Newlyweds who were presented on the night were: Mr & Mrs Gary Mc Entee, Mr & Mrs Gregory Mc Mahon and Mr & Mrs Declan Mc Guirk. Four officers, namely Mickey c Mahon, Cormac Connolly, Sean Mc Elvaney and Danny Clerkin were presented with mementos after stepping down from the committee at last year’s AGM. I have no doubt these men still have a lot to offer to the club in the future, and their stepping down is only temporary. Stephen Hagan was presented with a small gift in recognition of his sterling services to refereeing in the county this year. More details next week.
Team Affairs:
Last Saturday our intermediate team made the long journey to Foreglen in Derry to play the locals. The team lined out as follows: Eamonn Mc Quillan, Donal Mc Guigan, Paraic Mc Guirk, Stephen Clerkin, Nigel Lynch, artin Kieran, Brian Mc Quaid, Emlyn Clerkin, Conal Mc Crudden, David Mc Entee, Noel Rice, Danny Mc Nally, Darren Keely, Damian Larkin, Shane O’ Neill, Philip Farrell, Stephen Mc Elvaney, Sean Mc Kenna, Fergal Mc Quillan. This was a promising display from our experienced players and also good displays from Brian Mc Quaid and Danny Mc Nally. Our next match is at home this Saturday to the Donegal outfit Buncrana @ 3pm.
Referees:
Anybody interested in taking up refereeing should contact the Chairman, Gerry Lynch as referee courses will be beginning soon. With nearly 800 juvenile matches alone to be refereed throughout the county this year, it is very important we have enough referees.

This will be the first part of a series of celebrations throughout the year. More details later.
