Scor: Congratulations to all from the club who participated in Scor on Saturday last in Tullycorbet. Donna Wall gave an excellent performance of ‘The Lakes of Ponchartrain’ in the solo singing, ably assisted by husband Sean on the guitar. Our quiz team of Eamon, Mary Alice and Ollie were also unlucky not to make it through. Our novelty act consisting of Cathal, Seanie, Donna, Ciara and the two Pats had the audience in stitches with their performance of their very own sketch “Kate’s Spirit”. I understand that Cathal made a few derogatory remarks about the Aghabog football team during the sketch, I’m sure the judges deducted points for this, but the novelty act still made it through, as did Ciara in the Recitation. These two acts will now participate in the County Final on Friday 18th Feb in Clontibret. Please come out and support them! A special mention should also go to Noel McCarville, John Connolly and our Cultural Officer, Maureen Gavan for all the effort they put in preparing our acts.
