Hurling:

AGM: Our AGM will be held this Sunday at 6pm in St. Mellans. Everyone is welcome to attend, particularly parents of juveniles.

Handball:

Juveniles: Our juveniles represented the club in all age groups from U12’s to U16’s in the county singles championships. Although we had no success in any of the age groups, the players performed well and the experience should give them a taste of what is needed to play and be successful at county level. We held the U12 and the U15 championships in St.Mellans at the weekend and would like to thank all who helped to run off the both competitions so smoothly. We will be hosting all the under-age county finals on Sunday the 23rd in St.Mellans. We would ask for our committee members to help out with the running of the finals and would like to invite our own juvenile members to come down and view the standard of the finals.

All County Competitions fixtures: The county singles are reaching the closing stages now and it is vital all players attend their games as failure to show up reflects badly on the club. The Double entries have now been forwarded to the county board so keep an eye out for fixtures in St.Mellans.

TG4 Handball: Keep all eyes peeled for the new handball series which has started on TG4 and runs every Monday evening at 8:30pm throughout January.

Mono League: The Mono Furniture league final will take place in the glass alley this Saturday evening, 22nd January, between the Cheeky Girls and the Sugarbabes. In addition, the most coveted prize of the wooden spoon is up for grabs and will be contested between The Pussycat Dolls and the Saturdays. It is advised that both teams take some cash as a losing penalty must be paid later upstairs. Both games start at 5:30pm. NB all 5 players must play in both games.
