Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship Semi-Final
Ballybay 0-14 Scotstown 2-8 24/9/17
Ballybay and Scotstown will have to meet again after an astonishing finish to their SFC semi-final in Clones last Sunday. Ballybay led by 0-9 to 0-6 at half-time, with Paul Finlay leading their scoring, and they added five unanswered points in a stop-start second half to lead by eight after the hour mark. Scotstown, who had lost Kieran Hughes to injury, looked set to relinquish their county title, but in eight added minutes, they hit 2-2 to draw level. Substitute Micheál McCarville got the first goal, before Frank Caulfield punched a Rory Beggan ’45 to the net at the death. The replay takes place in Clontibret on Saturday at 3pm.
