Storming finish sees Magheracloone into SFC Final

Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship Semi-Final

Magheracloone 4-12 Latton 1-18                                   24/9/17

Magheracloone are through to the SFC Final for the first time since 2010 after they defeated Latton in a dramatic finish in Clones last Sunday. A Bernard O’Brien goal helped Latton lead by 1-8 to 0-6 at half-time, but after Magheracloone hit the first four points of the second half, this game steadily built towards its exciting ending. Goals by James Ward and Allan Kieran swung the momentum in Magheracloone’s favour, but Latton regained the lead and they were two points up three minutes into added time. Magheracloone produced a storming finish, however, with goals from Tommy Freeman and Paudie McMahon guiding them through.
